Just drop me a comment if you feel this is worth your time. Thanks.

Just found an error when uploading images to Miri.My. Turns out that the new VPS does not have ImageMagick installed which the Mediawiki system is configured to use. It’s past 30 minutes now and still waiting for the setup to complete on the CentOS server. The following link is a tutorial I found on how to setup ImageMagick for WHM/Cpanel: http://www.multibam.org/b/inge/3-howto-install-imagemagick-server-cpanel-whm.html. Hope this missing feature problem didn’t cascade onto any of the other sites on the same VPS.
MiriCommunity.net is now running on VPS (virtual private server). The forum was previously running on a semi-dedicated server shared among 4 users but performance was hampered because of the pegged (or rather vigorously manually monitored) resources to ensure fair-play among the virtual neighbors. After spending a few days planning, staging, moving, optimizing, etc, I am hoping I got it right with the setup to give me more headroom for further development of the system. I do not like to be maintaining servers, but thanks to everyone for your concerns during these past few days of hair-pulling experience.
I’m one of the many individuals that gets annoyed badly when unable to purchase a copy of the Sarawak Government Almanac each year. Mind you, limited copies of the almanacs are released sometime in December or January in the state and only a selected few knows when it will be out. Anyway if you are lucky, you may find some of them at your local bookshop or magazine stalls. Else you will resort to ask some kind people (again, they are also limited) working in various government departments to make a photocopy from their only almanac in the office. These official almanacs are only a hot product during the beginning of the year, after which you will never see them being sold anymore. Anyway, I’ve spent an hour doing this for fellow Sarawakians (prefer to think of this as a noble cause instead of plagiarism). If you want a copy for yourself, please buy it from the proper place – if you can find it in the first place.
